Merry Christimas!

Not everyone is looking forward to celebrating Christmas just like the others. There's going to be an empty seat at their table now.

Some with an empty space under their Christmas tree.

Some with wet pillowcases and broken hearts.

It's hard for some people to celebrate this season, so my prayer for today is that we might be more sensitive and show compassion, comfort and understanding to those struggling.

To those of you seeing Christmas as a time not of joy but of sorrow and in grief, this is my prayer for you:

Lord, thank You for understanding those who are hurting right now. It could be because of loss, illness, lack, or brokenness. We know that tears are more than enough to communicate with You.

Thank You because You are the God of Comfort, the God where they can cast all their anxieties because You care for them. Help them see that You are with them, not rushing their feelings and never pressuring them to do more than what they can at this time.

You said in Your Word that you will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You. Lord, may You help them to trust You even more even at their most difficult times.

The darkness cannot overcome the light You shine in the darkness. Thank You Jesus, their weeping isn't final, but Joy is, because of You.

“For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Isaiah 9:6

And if you don't have a "Merry Christmas", remember that Christmas is for the weary, too.

Jesus came for the lost, tired, burdened, unfaithful, broken, sick, sinful, and incomplete. May this season remind you that Jesus came for you.

If you don’t feel like you have much to give this season, remember that….
Love is free.
Giving your heart is free.
Being kind is free.

God bless!
