Don’t be afraid of Increase!

Image
Don’t be afraid of Increase! When you plant a seed, you expect a harvest.   When you work, you expect compensation. When you invest, you expect economic growth. When you marry, you expect children. When you seek medical help, you expect improvement. When you do a good job, you expect recognition or a promotion. When you sell your house, you expect a profit. When you honor God with from your increase, what should you expect? (Prov. 3:9-10) Why do so many get offended at the idea of increase coming from God?  They expect and hope for increase in every other area of life, but cringe if a preacher talks about the blessings of God.  Doesn’t God have a right to bless His children?  If some are getting blessed, why does it bother others? The spiritual principles and promises of increase are all throughout the Bible, but so many don’t want to hear about it.  They have been deceived into thinking that abundance is ungodly.  And yet, the abundance that Go...

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHY PATIENCE IS SUCH AN IMPORTANT ELEMENT OF LOVE?

Image
Have you ever wondered why patience is such an important element of love?   Patience is a beautiful descriptor of love. It describes a heart with room and with flexibility.  In the Bible, the word for patience is sometimes translated as long-suffering, which means it is willing to suffer, willing to bear discomfort, willing to allow time to pass and not demand immediate answers.  Patience is the quality of bearing offenses and injuries without anger or revenge. It is impossible to do in our own willpower. I know this from experience. It must come from God, from that "hesed" love.  Hesed is one of the Hebrew words used in the Bible for God’s love.  "Though the mountains be shaken, and the hills be removed, yet My unfailing love (hesed) for you will not be shaken." ~Isaiah 54:10 "The Lord did not set His love (hashaq) on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; but because the Lord loves (hes...

The BEST of you!

Image
This is an iron bar. The value is around $100. If you decide to make horseshoes, its value would increase to $250. If, instead, you decided to make sewing needles, the value would increase to about $70,000. If you decided to produce watch springs, the value would increase to about $6 million. Your value is not just what you are made of, but above all, in what ways you can make the best of who you are! A [cheap] basketball in my hands is worth about $10.  A basketball in Michael Jordan's hands is worth about $3 million. It depends whose hands it's in.  Who's holding your life?

The Last Hurdle or Not | Prophetic Art/Painting

Image
Prophetic Artist: Ricardo Colon/ Silent Preacher The Last Hurdle or Not   As I was praying for your dad. The Lord showed me that he had overcome many hurdles in his life. He has also tripped over many hurdles in life. There were times of frustration, times of depression, and times of deep sorrow.  In this painting, I saw your dad in what appeared to be a race, and he is at the finish line. The last hurdle in the race. He went to jump over this final hurdle, but it was more difficult than the rest. But because some are praying for your dad, God hears those prayers, and he sent an angel to your dad to lift him over that last hurdle, which means no more disappointments, no more sorrow, and no more depression. There is a decision that he has to make soon. And it is crucial that he make the right decision. If not, there will be more hurdles to jump over. But if he allows himself to fall into the hands of God and give his life entirely to him. There will be no hurdle tha...

FAME (LONG POST AHEAD)

Image
Many of the famous ministers and Christians known to us are not well-known to the non-Christian world, with exceptions of those who become infamous for their flaws or others like Mother Teresa, famous for her work amongst the poor, and Billy Graham, famous for his Christian influence in USA. Most of the time when Christians do make the headlines of the world it is usually when something bad is publicized. We need to change that. 1. Fame does come from God and is given as a stewardship  Joshua, who used to be in the shadow of Moses, was told by God as he led the Israelites into the promised land that ‘this day I will begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that as I was with Moses, so I will be with you’ (Joshua  3:7).  David was famous throughout Israel and all the surrounding countries and the Lord brought the fear of him throughout those countries (1 Chronicles 14:17). Solomon was famous in his lifetime through the grace of wisdom given to him ...

PLANNING & CHANGE

Image
How many days did you lose in 2022? | By Serene Chah Maybe you lost 180 days because you didn’t know how to resolve conflict with ONE person; maybe you turned 2 effective weeks into 2 anxious weeks because you argued with your spouse; maybe you lost 3 months because of one wrong move. You have been lied to by society that if you set goals in the new year you must achieve 100% of them, otherwise you “are a failure”. If that is the case your goal is too small. There is no room to stretch for faith. If you achieve below 50% of your goals it shows that you’re not discipline. I’d say hitting 80% within the time frame is a sweet spot. All throughout Bible we see whenever a man or woman of God is setting eyes to a goal it involves a few things: faith (actions), believe (hold onto the promises of God), very well structured plans, instructions/voice of God, obedience & overcoming fear of unknown, good leadership skills & communication skills with teammates. You see this in ...

The year 2022 is ending and I just want to.....

Image
The year 2022 is ending and I just want to thank God for... The friends He sent to help me throughout the year. For all the people who cared for me and treated me as their family. For the people whom I called late at night. For the people who never stopped listening to my never-ending problems. For the people who helped me stand up. For the people whom the Lord used to provide for my needs. Thank you. May the Lord bless them all the days of their lives. The family . He has given me. Although we faced challenges this year. We could have shared joy and tears; I am forever thankful to the Lord for giving me a family like us. There were struggles, but I thank God for getting us through it all. There were unhappy times, but there were also joyful times. I hope and pray that God will continue to strengthen our bond as a family. May we possess the love that God gives all the time. The pain and hurt . I never really wanted to be hurt and to be in pain, but if that's what it takes for me t...

Keep Your Vision

Image
Where there is no vision, people perish.   Proverbs 29:18    When Alexander the Great had a vision, he conquered the world; when he lost it, he couldn’t conquer a bottle of alcohol. When David had a vision, he conquered Goliath; when he lost it, he couldn’t conquer his own lust. When Samson had a vision, he could defeat 1000 men; when he lost it, he couldn’t control one woman. When Noah had a vision, he built an ark and preserved the human race; when he lost it, he got drunk and lay naked. Friends, it’s your dream that keeps you on track; it’s the Christ in you that gives you a vision that keeps you on focus. (Inspired by Bob Gass)  Sometimes, the desires and visions of a person are in the right areas, but the motives of a person are still not pure. In such cases, the Lord puts a person through a refining period until the motivation is corrected and the heart pure. At other times, a person might have the revelation but lacks the skill to implement the metho...

Merry Christimas!

Image
Not everyone is looking forward to celebrating Christmas just like the others. There's going to be an empty seat at their table now. Some with an empty space under their Christmas tree. Some with wet pillowcases and broken hearts. It's hard for some people to celebrate this season, so my prayer for today is that we might be more sensitive and show compassion, comfort and understanding to those struggling. To those of you seeing Christmas as a time not of joy but of sorrow and in grief, this is my prayer for you: Lord, thank You for understanding those who are hurting right now. It could be because of loss, illness, lack, or brokenness. We know that tears are more than enough to communicate with You. Thank You because You are the God of Comfort, the God where they can cast all their anxieties because You care for them. Help them see that You are with them, not rushing their feelings and never pressuring them to do more than what they can at this time. You said in Your Word that ...

You are His reason for the SEASON!

Image
He came to heal us.  He came to give us good news.  He came to show us that we were not alone, not on our own.  He let us know that we had a Father who cared and loved us.  He came to show us kindness and grace.  He came so we can exist in peace with God, with ourselves, and with others.  He came to change the course of history.  He came to change B.C. to A.D. He did it all for you and He did it all for me.  He is Love, and Love is not selfish.  He didn't come demanding anything.  He came to give all that He has. The message of Christmas is not a message that asks anything of us.   It's a message of God loving the whole world, all of us.  It's a message of God's benevolence, His initiative, and His willingness to give peace and goodwill to all.   From our perspective, Jesus is the reason for the season, but from His perspective, we are His reason for the season.  Just as we make it all about Jesus, He has mad...

Seasons

Image
All things operate by seasons and cycles (Genesis 1:14; Psalm 1:3; Ecclesiastes 3:1). This means that whenever there is a downturn in the economy, there will be an upturn again. Where there is a good season, one must then prepare for the difficult season. Cycles will always occur in everything – some are long, some are short, and we have cycles within cycles.  there’s a type of season that will affect everybody else on earth; believers or nonbelievers; Buddhist, Muslim or gay; it will affect everybody.  To those who are wise and access the knowledge both spiritual and natural, you will be able to discern the times. If you do nothing in the harvest season, you will have nothing left in the season of famine. There are also easily recognisable economic cycles of booms and recessions which wise business men would profit from if they pay heed to them (besides being aware of laws of wisdom and prosperity in the Bible and predicted prophetic events). It is not a very ...

There's still color in broken colors

Image
When things are broken, God never gives up. He begins with ruins, chaos, and brings forth beauty from ashes.  Ruined things are my defeat, but God's beginning.  It's not hopeless what you're going through, it's just an opportunity for God to show off who He is through his power-driven fingers.  If you wait on Him, your mess becomes a miracle. Calvary is our example. Shattered lives become breathtaking ornaments of beauty. This is our God.  God uses broken things. It takes broken soil to produce a crop, broken clouds to give rain, broken grain to give bread, and broken bread to give strength. – Vance Havner Our brokenness is not proof that God could not or would not love us, but proof that what we need is the God who both created us and loves us. A Kintsugi is an ancient Japanese art form that involves putting broken pieces back together using gold or another precious metal. It takes something broken and makes it stronger, more useful, and more beautiful. First time I...

HOPE - YOU'RE IN THE DOORWAY TO YOUR SEASON

Image
The year 2022 is an exciting year for me as it will be filled with a sense of contentment and survival. The reason is, that though you might start out on the journey alone, God is leading you to a place called Together. Being a part of a group that has a common purpose brings a sense of unity and helps you face challenges together. As Christians we are called to be examples of love and peace and the best way to do that is to share our lives with one another and build a community. Keeping this in mind, I hope that 2023 will be a year where each of you will find a place where you can be yourself and grow closer to God and fellow believers.  NEW SEASON INDEED! A person without food just experiences hunger but a person without a dream or a vision is without hope. People lose their will to live when they lose their dreams and visions. People without food or money will still find the way to live so long as their dreams and visions are burning within them but rob them of their dream and v...

WELCOMING JESUS

Image
It's sad that Jesus wasn't welcomed by the people who should have been the first to do so. It's a sad fact. But we can learn something from the history of Jesus coming into the world. Let's look at those who didn't welcome Him. Why didn't they welcome Him? What was it that made them not ready? Why didn't the Israelites welcome Him? Those who received prophecy, laws, and the message that Jesus is sent to the lost sheep of Israel were the first people to receive Jesus. What happened? Why didn't they welcome Him? In Matthew 2:2, "Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.” When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him"  They were troubled instead of excited. All of Jerusalem was in fear and anxiety. Herod was worried because he was the king of the Jews back then. He'd done a lot for them. They recognized him as king, so here was somebody to...
