How many days did you lose in 2022?| By Serene Chah
Maybe you lost 180 days because you didn’t know how to resolve conflict with ONE person; maybe you turned 2 effective weeks into 2 anxious weeks because you argued with your spouse; maybe you lost 3 months because of one wrong move. You have been lied to by society that if you set goals in the new year you must achieve 100% of them, otherwise you “are a failure”. If that is the case your goal is too small. There is no room to stretch for faith. If you achieve below 50% of your goals it shows that you’re not discipline. I’d say hitting 80% within the time frame is a sweet spot. All throughout Bible we see whenever a man or woman of God is setting eyes to a goal it involves a few things: faith (actions), believe (hold onto the promises of God), very well structured plans, instructions/voice of God, obedience & overcoming fear of unknown, good leadership skills & communication skills with teammates. You see this in Abraham, Gideon, Esther, Ruth, the Apostles, Noah, Moses, Joshua, Others, and especially Jesus Himself. There’re some promises we’re waiting until today as a body (rapture of the church); and they’re promises you’re still waiting today personally.
Topic covered: Why you MUST plan for the new year How to plan for a new year (effective & biblical way) Which area to plan for a new year If you had a bad situation last year: How God sees your bad year how to change it by force so that it doesn’t repeat (cycle after cycle)
As soon as the meeting replay is up, I'll post it here. 😉😄
The year 2022 is an exciting year for me as it will be filled with a sense of contentment and survival. The reason is, that though you might start out on the journey alone, God is leading you to a place called Together. Being a part of a group that has a common purpose brings a sense of unity and helps you face challenges together. As Christians we are called to be examples of love and peace and the best way to do that is to share our lives with one another and build a community. Keeping this in mind, I hope that 2023 will be a year where each of you will find a place where you can be yourself and grow closer to God and fellow believers. NEW SEASON INDEED! A person without food just experiences hunger but a person without a dream or a vision is without hope. People lose their will to live when they lose their dreams and visions. People without food or money will still find the way to live so long as their dreams and visions are burning within them but rob them of their dream and v...
Fear is a very powerful negative force. The Bible tells us that the devil uses fear to control all men and put them into bondage (Hebrews 2:14, 15). Fear can come through wrong beliefs; it could be superstitious beliefs, wrong cultural beliefs, traditional beliefs, societal beliefs or even beliefs instilled upon people through wrong teaching. Fear can also come because of the unknown. One could ask ‘if fear arises out of wrong beliefs’ then where does the fear of the unknown come from, since no one has taught anything about the unknown? Fear of the unknown is possible only because of the presence of fear in one self. One could ask ‘if fear arises out of wrong beliefs’ then where does the fear of the unknown come from, since no one has taught anything about the unknown? Fear of the unknown is possible only because of the presence of fear in one self. In an atmosphere of the unknown the worst fears no matter how little, if present in oneself, become reflected back from the m...
When things are broken, God never gives up. He begins with ruins, chaos, and brings forth beauty from ashes. Ruined things are my defeat, but God's beginning. It's not hopeless what you're going through, it's just an opportunity for God to show off who He is through his power-driven fingers. If you wait on Him, your mess becomes a miracle. Calvary is our example. Shattered lives become breathtaking ornaments of beauty. This is our God. God uses broken things. It takes broken soil to produce a crop, broken clouds to give rain, broken grain to give bread, and broken bread to give strength. – Vance Havner Our brokenness is not proof that God could not or would not love us, but proof that what we need is the God who both created us and loves us. A Kintsugi is an ancient Japanese art form that involves putting broken pieces back together using gold or another precious metal. It takes something broken and makes it stronger, more useful, and more beautiful. First time I...
