The Two Commandments: Love God and Love Your Neighbor

Image
As we begin this New Year, let us examine  whether we have truly grown in these two areas of our life  1. Relationship with God a. How have we grown in our love and appreciation for God? True appreciation of God should fill us with a sense of wonder and thankfulness each day of our lives as opposed to an unthankful attitude (Romans 1:21).  Our thankfulness barometer should be full every day and our capacity to be thankful should be increasing every year. This thankfulness also extends to areas beyond our understanding – in everything give thanks (1 Thessalonians 5:18).  There are two roads in growing older each year: the road of complaining and depression or the road of thankfulness and cheer. b.   How many days did you lose in 2022? | By Serene Chah Maybe you lost 180 days because you didn’t know how to resolve conflict with ONE person; maybe you turned 2 effective weeks into 2 anxious weeks because you argued with your spouse; maybe you lost 3 months because of one wrong move. Those who received prophecy, laws, and the message that Jesus is sent to the lost sheep of Israel were the first people to receive Jesus. What happened? Why didn't they welcome Him? In Matthew 2:2, "Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.” When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him"  They were troubled instead of excited. All of Jerusalem was in fear and anxiety. Herod was worried because he was the king of the Jews back then. He'd done a lot for them. They recognized him as king, so here was somebody to...
